Mayte McWilliams, FNP-C, grew up in Bossier City and offers primary care services for people of all ages, from newborns to senior citizens. Her care philosophy is to treat all patients with respect and compassion, just like they are members of her own family. The ongoing relationships she builds with patients earn trust and allow McWilliams to learn what motivates each patient so care can be personalized.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, McWilliams translates for her patients to be sure they fully understand the what and the why behind their treatment plan. Education and a shared understanding are essential for people to commit to a healthy lifestyle that supports the best outcome.
A three-time graduate of Northwestern State University of Louisiana College of Nursing, McWilliams holds associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She has a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is a certified family nurse practitioner (American Nurses Credentialing Center). Her memberships include American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Association.
In her spare time, McWilliams often volunteers in the community and she hopes to instill her love for helping others upon her children. McWilliams and her husband have two daughters and a few cats, dogs and horses. McWilliams enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, riding horses and traveling.
